We were up in New York earlier this month, where I got to put THESE sewing pouches to good use. It's fun sewing hexagons in the airport, where people surreptitiously watch your sewing skills...anyone else have this happen to them?
We also spent a weekend taking advantage of our new Florida resident status by going to the happiest place on earth...
Yes, Disney World is only a few hours away from us! It was kitschy and ridiculously busy, but it still retains its charm. The Flower and Garden Festival was occurring while we were there, so we saw some beautiful topiaries throughout Epcot.
Frankly, with all of these activities, I haven't had much time to do any quilting. I hope to be able to get some quilting done this weekend at the South Florida Modern Quilt Guild's first-ever Charity Sewing Day to benefit Project Linus! Four glorious hours of sewing for a great cause!
I did manage to whip up a few Bee blocks, at least:
April Bee Block for South Florida Mod Bee
April Block for NYC Mod Bee
Fussy cut the center!
