Winner!

Wow, I want to thank everyone for entering the Modern Blocks eBook giveaway!  It was so exciting to read your comments, and I really appreciate it.  Glad to see that this book has generated a lot of interest.

I used Random.org's number generator to choose a winner, and my husband acted as the independent auditor.  :)  The winner of the eBook is:

Mtnquiltr (#7):  "That looks like a book that would inspire me! Thanks for the chance!"

Congratulations!  On another note, we are almost all packed up and ready to make the move to Florida.  We move on Thursday and will take a quick trip to the Caribbean before our furniture arrives.  Before I packed up the sewing machine and quilting supplies last week (I'm in sewing withdrawal already!), I managed to create the beginning of a mini-quilt for our breakfast nook:

I used an 170% enlargement of Ayumi's beautiful teapot pattern (and added a handle) and used a coffee cup pattern from THIS site.  My paper piecing skills have definitely improved, and it was fun to create.  I used the Lizzy Dish fabrics to coordinate with the kitchen theme.  The green coffee cup is cute, but I don't know if the mini quilt needs two cups...any thoughts?

On a final note, the South Florida Modern Quilt Guild website is up and running!  We are having our first meeting in November, and I look forward to meeting all of the wonderful folks who have already expressed an interest in joining the guild.  Florida, here I come!
