This weekend, my husband and I went house hunting in Florida (for those who missed last week's post...
we are relocating to Boca Raton in November)!
It's going to be a big shock going from city life to suburbia, but we certainly won't mind the nice weather nearly all-year-round, seeing trees and grass instead of concrete, and having a lower-stress life. We ended up finding a charming and sunny three-bedroom house that we'll rent for the year. It's in a country club community (golf, anyone?) with a view that pretty much looks like this:

Not the actual backyard view, but you get the idea. We're on the 10th hole!

Front entry.
I've started thinking of some decorating projects already, and I have plenty of space for a sewing area. I'll probably also put up a design wall somewhere...can't wait!
My favorite part of the house so far is the kitchen. It's cheerful, bright, and ideal for new sewing projects to add a splash of color. Embellished kitchen towels, potholders, a rug...what else would you recommend?

So much sunlight! Toto, we're not in Manhattan anymore...

Breakfast nook.
Oh how lovely! Congrats. Can't wait to see how you decorate.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found somewhere - that table's crying out for a quilt/mat in the centre!
